Multiple rounds of sketching were conducted to ensure the client was satisfied in the tonal direction. We had two audiences: children, and older collectors. Constantly, I walked the line between authentic and childish, ensuring I didn't stray too far either direction.

In addition to designing the charms themselves, I also created a sales catalogue and order form that my client could distribute to customers in order to begin sales.

When we received the first shipment of charms from our supplier, there were distinct differences from the original design. Production and molding errors had to be fixed through clear communication and creative briefs. Having never worked with mass-producers before, witnessing this behind-the-scenes processing proved to be invaluable.

In the span of a single season, over 12,000 units have been sold. The market for custom Jibbitz in Alaska is untapped.
