Polymer Clay

Prior to my adoption of porcelain, I worked extensively with polymer clay, a plastic-based sculpting medium that cures in a household oven. Most of my polymer sculptures were fantasy creatures. Until 2021, I was able to gain a large following by hosting an online shop selling my creations.

This green dragon, 'Fae Guardian,' was featured in the 2022 edition of Orange Media Networks student art showcase magazine: Crossroads.

COMMISSIONS

Occasionally, I took commissions from clients with specific visions, such as this dragon created for someone passionate about their Hawaiian culture. These projects were some of my first experiences working directly with clients, providing valuable insights into effective designer-client relations.

I rarely painted sculptures after baking, preferring to mix shades by hand using pre-colored clay. This method ensured rich, lasting color that wouldn’t fade or wear over time. This dragon mount was a lone exception.
